Edwards University is a religious institution exempt from state ​​

regulation and oversight in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

2. Florida Department of Education

The Commission for Independent Education accepted the affidavit as having ​​

complied with Section 1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes pursuant to religious institutions.

3. EU holds a 501(c)(3) status, as approved by the IRS in the USA.

Additionally, EU operates as a nonprofit tax-exempt organization under the umbrella of International Fellowship Ministries. Edwards University is authorized to confer degrees by the Virginia SCHEV and Florida Department of Education. As a small institution closely affiliated with an evangelical and Reformed church, we train individuals for Christian vocations and faithful service in the church and family. While many schools seek government-recognized accreditation for federal and state funding, we choose independence from state oversight and control in Christian education. This allows our students to grow in discipline, effort, and faithfulness.
